3 Great Ways To Keep Parents Involved

We always talk about what people do AT the meetings, but what about the day after?

(Watch The Video Below Or Read The Post)

Last night, we had a meeting with OVER 40 PARENTS (not including staff and board.)  We talked, we laughed, we had a great time discussing all the EPIC things that will go on this year...but then...

 THE WORST THING HAPPENED.

We went home.  Home to our families, busy lives, and everything else.

Someone recently asked the question, "What can I do to keep these busy parents involved?"

Glad you asked.  Here are a few things that work GREAT!

1.  EMAIL - Look at the email list you made and pick 5 - 10 people that you personally connected with at the meeting and send them a personal email that specifically references what you spoke about.  What does this do?  It tells them you were listening and that you appreciate their involvement.

2.  Post - Post a general "Thank You" on your Facebook page.  Use an image and mention how great the meeting was.  What does this do?  It reminds people that they were there, and reminds the people who werent there that they missed it.

3.  Re-Connect - Reach out to people who were very active last year that didn't come to your meeting.  Just say something like "Hey, I noticed you didnt come to the meeting and missed seeing you.  Hope you are still able to be involved this year and that you are doing well."

Thanks everybody.  Let us know what you think about PTO Mania so far and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE subscribe here!
