Boxtops At Your Barbecue

Tomorrow is Labor Day (unless you are reading this on a different day than the day I wrote it), which means that lots of people will be firing up their grills for their end of Summer barbecues.  With those barbecues comes a great opportunity to find some spare Boxtops!

Here are a few rare spots you might not be looking where you can score a few extra this labor day (or on another barbecue holiday.)

1.  Let's Talk PRE-BBQ
The BBQ is planned and people will be over soon.  If you are like me, you are going to spend a decent amount of time CLEANING your house.  If you use Lysol products, keep an eye out for Boxtops, and remember, it's not just spray.  They also make dishwasher detergent, bathroom cleaner, wipes, etc.

2.  What About Burt?
It's not a BBQ without Burt's killer stache.  Ok, ok...We are not talking about Burt Reynolds.  We are talking about REYNOLDS WRAP.  All of the Reynolds brand products have Boxtops, and the best thing is, you don't have to wait until the case is empty to clip them.  Don't forget to look at those Reynolds pans too that many people use for cooking turkeys or keeping their hot burgers and dogs in.

3.  Don't Miss This GIANT Opportunity
Most people know that Green Giant frozen veggies have Boxtops, but what some people miss is that the Jolly Green guy even puts them on some of their FRESH vegetables.  So look at that broccoli before you put it in your mouth!

4.  Don't Forget Toby
Well, not Solo brand  cups, but the Hefty brand equivalent IS a boxtop product.  Also the plates and garbage bags.  You probably use all three of these things on a regular basis for PTO functions.  Be sure to pack up the leftovers in Ziplock containers!

5.  And Dessert....!!!
Those little refridgerated packages of Pillsbury cookies?  Yup.  Boxtops, and probably one of the most common throw aways because the package either rips or is all sticky and nobody wants to touch it.  Tip...clip it before you open the package!

6.  Finally....
From time to time, people need to use the bathroom.  Scott paper towels and TP are Boxtop friendly.  Kleenex too.  Maybe you prefer the cheaper toilet paper at home, but break out the good stuff for company.  :-)

7.  BONUS:  Don't Forget To "Ninja"
If you are going to someone elses house for a BBQ, don't forget to keep those eyes peeled for Boxtops that might  be laying around.  Now, I would never say we should go through our friend's cabinets, but don't be afraid to ask.  You might  feel weird the first time, but from that point on everyone will know you are a Boxtops collector.  Maybe you will even get them in the mail like I do!

Happy Collecting!
